RFPflow · Supplier evaluation
Judge suppliers on what they did, not only what they promise.
Aavenir puts risk ratings, bid scores and contract performance on one supplier record. When a supplier bids again, evaluators see the SLAs it met and the obligations it proved on your last contract.
Definition
What is supplier evaluation software?
Supplier evaluation software assesses suppliers before, during and after a sourcing decision, combining risk and qualification checks, scores on their proposals, and evidence of how they performed on past contracts.
In Aavenir, risk ratings from your third party or vendor risk management tool show when suppliers are invited in RFPflow, and Onboardingflow verifies documents and third party data before activation. Evidence collected in Obligationflow becomes the performance history evaluators see at the next bid.
- Before the invite: risk ratings from your third party or vendor risk management tool
- During the bid: weighted scores and Avy summaries
- After the award: SLAs and obligations proven with evidence
- At the next bid: that history beside the new response

How it works
One supplier, evaluated three times.
-

-
Weighted criteria fixed before publishing Experts score their sections, Aavenir AI drafts the rest Totals compared side by side.
-
Obligations extracted from the signed contract and assigned owners Aavenir AI checks evidence such as insurance certificates against the clause SLA results and closed obligations become the supplier history.
Customer context
Supplier decisions made with half the facts.
Customers described evaluation that stopped at the bid, or started too late.
Vendors added without review
A mining company had no standard vendor onboarding or risk assessment before award. It now runs risk assessments, tenders and awards in one flow.
No 360 view
Vendors were onboarded without a full view of the supplier, and vendor management and finance reviews ran slowly.
Scorecards in spreadsheets
Performance kept in a separate sheet is rarely open when the next RFP is scored. On one record, it sits beside the bid.
Results
What customers report after moving to Aavenir.
We always had to manually create, edit, deliver, organize, and evaluate our RFx process. Aavenir has saved us countless hours of administrative work. Everything is organized in one place now, and we can respond to suppliers twice as fast.

Common questions
What is supplier evaluation?
Supplier evaluation is the assessment of a supplier before, during and after a sourcing decision: risk and qualification checks before the invite, scores on the proposal, and evidence of performance on past contracts. See vendor evaluation in RFPflow.
Can past contract performance inform an RFP evaluation?
Yes. In RFPflow, bids sit beside the supplier history from earlier contracts, such as SLAs met and obligations closed with evidence in Obligationflow. Evaluators see what the supplier did, not only what it proposes. See Obligationflow.
Where do supplier risk ratings come from?
RFPflow shows risk ratings from your existing third party or vendor risk management tool beside each invited supplier. For new suppliers, Onboardingflow verifies documents with AI and confirms identity, finances and sanctions with D&B, Equifax and LexisNexis data. See Onboardingflow.
