What is legal contract management?

Legal contract management is the set of tools and rules a legal team uses to take in contract requests, draft from approved language, review and negotiate deviations, approve and sign, and then find any agreement and its obligations later.

The bottleneck is rarely the review itself. It is the request that arrives without a counterparty or a value, the third party paper read from page one, the approval chased by email, and the question only legal can answer because only legal can find the contract.
