What is Avy?

Avy is Aavenir's AI contract assistant. It works inside Contractflow, Obligationflow, RFPflow, Onboardingflow and Invoiceflow, where people already open their contracts, and it answers in plain language with the clause behind each answer.

The platform work underneath, such as extraction, playbook review and compliance screening, is done by the Aavenir Intelligence Platform. Avy is the part people talk to. For questions across the whole repository, Aavenir Atlas answers them.

What Avy does

  1. Ask a question about the contract in front of you, such as the notice period or who can terminate. Avy answers in plain language and cites the clause. For the same question across every contract, Atlas takes over.

  2. A short summary of parties, term, money, renewal and the clauses that matter, so a reviewer starts from the point instead of page one.

  3. Dense legal wording rewritten in plain language for the business owner, with the original clause beside it.

  4. Spot compare a clause with your standard language or another version, with the differences called out.

  5. Suggested fallback language from your clause library when a clause departs from your position. Legal accepts, edits or rejects it.

  6. Ask Avy what the contract commits you or the supplier to, and get each obligation with its clause. Obligationflow then tracks them.

Does Avy make decisions on its own?

No. Avy answers questions, summarizes, compares and recommends, and the platform underneath reads and extracts. A named person approves anything that changes a record, closes an obligation, accepts a clause deviation or awards business. See the Aavenir Intelligence Platform.

Can Avy work inside Microsoft Word?

Yes. Legal teams redline in Microsoft Word with the Aavenir add-in and can ask Avy to explain contract language without leaving the document. Each negotiation round returns to the contract record as a new version for review. See legal contract management.

Is Avy available without ServiceNow?

Yes. Aavenir AI runs inside the Aavenir apps on ServiceNow, under your roles and audit history, and the same agents run for standalone customers. Customer contract data is never used to train external models in either option. Compare deployment options.
