IT contract management is the governance of software, cloud and technology services agreements: renewal and notice dates, limits on price uplifts, service levels and credits, license terms, and the data protection commitments vendors make, from signature to renewal or exit. For IT the hard part is that the contract and the service live in different places. The vendor, the request and the approval history are in ServiceNow, the order form is in a shared drive, and the renewal shows up as an invoice.
