# What is savings tracking software?

Savings tracking software plans, records and measures cost saving initiatives across an organization, giving procurement and finance one view of savings from target to realized result.

## What it does

The software defines the scope of each savings project and sets targets for every sourcing program. As work progresses it captures results, compares them with targets, and shows realized savings across categories, business units and time periods.
