An agile supply chain responds quickly to changes in demand, in both volume and variety, using current data and flexible processes and partners.

## What agility means

Agility is the ability to adjust fast when demand changes. In supply chains it combines competence, responsiveness, speed and flexibility. It is more than moving quickly: it means sensing a change early and having the options to act on it, in a market where volatility and unpredictable demand are normal.
