Jesal Mehta started Aavenir after more than two decades of watching enterprises struggle with their contracts. The value rarely vanished in one go. It leaked away, in his words, "one missed deadline, one buried obligation, and one disconnected system at a time." His answer was to put the contract inside the system where requests, approvals and payments already ran. The first product, Contractflow, was built natively on ServiceNow. Every app since has shared the same record, so each step starts from the data the last one created.
